Versus rideshare and shared shuttles

Rideshare can beat us off-peak. On embarkation morning, when several thousand passengers request cars in the same hour, it surges — and the vehicle that arrives may not hold six cruise suitcases.
Shared shuttles charge per seat, which is competitive for one or two travellers and expensive for a family, and they add stops. Thirty to ninety minutes of other people’s pickups is the trade.
Private transfer is a fixed number known before you book, for a vehicle sized to your bags, with a chauffeur permitted to drop at your terminal door.

How to pay less

Stay in Miami the night before. A Downtown, Brickell or Beach hotel pickup is $113 for a sedan against $166 from MIA — and it removes cruise-day flight risk entirely.
Right-size the vehicle. Six adults in one Suburban at $245 is $41 each; two sedans is $332.
Book round-trip. One reservation covers both legs and locks both rates.
Avoid the late-night window where you can. A 10:15 PM airport pickup avoids the $40 fee that starts at 10:30.
