Debarkation is the least planned part of most cruises and the easiest place to lose a flight. The ship clears on the port’s schedule, not yours, and the terminal empties several thousand passengers into a 90-minute window when every one of them wants a car.

When ships actually clear

Most PortMiami arrivals berth before 6:00 AM and begin releasing passengers once customs clears the ship, typically between 7:00 and 10:00 AM. Your exit time depends mainly on how you handle luggage:
